HANDBAG CARE & ADVICE
Leathers age naturally and beautifully with time, but extra care can be taken to ensure that your handbag is protected from the elements. Noted below are some tips to help preserve the quality of the leather.*
-
Never scrub or excessively rub the bag when cleaning it. Any aftercare should be conducted gently with light motions, rubbing or scrubbing may cause damage and/or affect the natural characteristics of the leather.
-
If the surface appears dull, rub lightly with a soft, dry cloth.
-
For suedes, brush off any loose dirt and dust with a velvet brush.
-
Do not use household cleaning products to clean your bag e.g. washing up liquid, stain removers etc. This may stain and damage your handbag. Use a cleaner that has been recommended for leather/suede and always carry out a test first on a small area of the bag.
-
Regularly treat the product with a protective spray. To protect the leather, we recommend applying a protective spray, which will help reduce dirt and water marks. This will also help in preserving the natural characteristics of unique leathers.
-
If the product gets wet, remove any excess water with a paper towel and allow it to dry naturally. Do not rub the liquid or the bag.
-
Do not leave your handbag in direct heat or sunlight for long periods as this may cause the colour to fade, or cause uneven spotting.
-
Avoid rubbing against fragile or lightly-coloured clothing.
-
Take care to prevent scratching and marking; avoid placing the product on rough or sharp surfaces.
